Kijah had watched the man walk over twords her, ready to be thrown out. When he asked her for a favour she thought she heard wrong.
"I-I'm sorry. A favour..."
She sensed the air, the man seemed, nervous, irritated perhaps? No she couldn't really pinpoint it, but he defianitly wasn't about to throw her out.
Should I do this man a favour, it could be a trap. Damn it Kijah don't look down on everything, this isn't the pack anymore. Its not Mitra you are dealing with. Perhaps this could benifit you, you do his favour he help you find work, or perhaps room for the night
"What would I have to do?"

Marco chuckled. "Nothing much at all. I just want you to talk to Cally, keep her occupied. She tends to get very restless when she is bored and that tends to end in one of two ways. She gets drunk, jumps onto a table and starts singing. I admit it, sometimes she doesn't sound too bad. But most of the time it's horrible. The second option is she'll leave the Inn and go hunting for a fight. While she does only fight to first blood, sometimes her opponent gets angry and will continue to fight. Unfortunately Cally is a better fighter then she lets on to be and the fight ends with a very pissed off opponent who always comes looking for her." He said, pointing to Cally.
Realising Marco was pointing to her Cally grinned and waved enthusiastically, knowing full well what he was doing.

Relief spread over Kijah and she smiled at Marco, "Sure I think i can handle that."
Kijah got up and walked over to Cally's table sizing her up as she walked over. Small girl, Kijah chuckled to herself, but then they always underestimate the small ones. They are often the more swift of the bunch. Being a wolf taught Kijah to never under estimate one's opponent. She gathered her cloak and sat down with Cally.
"Hi, name's Kijah. I just got into town today, don't really know anyone or anything in the area. What is it like here?"

--He actually apologized!-- Kavlin exclaimed, delighted. --Decent man, I say,-- said Reg contently, sticking his nose into Shad's palm and sniffing. --Smell's decent, too.-- Kavlin grinned at Shad. He hadn't like anyone this much in years. "Anywhere is alright with us, as long as it's safe and has some small shelter--even just a thick covering of leaves is fine." Sleeping out in the open was no problem to Kavlin, only that sleeping in the open on the streets was a dangerous way to live. He tenderly touched his aching face and shifted, testing the soreness in his ribs. He was certainly in no condition to fight off any would-be attackers.

Tes shifted around a little, she really did want to follow them but when they mention sleeping out in the woods she was reminded she had already reserved a room at Marco's. Too add to that she was still damp from her swim, her hair was still dripping water everywhere and the wind was making her freeze. She eyed the warm inn then sighed, it was pointless to try and battle against her curiosity. Tes would follow only to see where the Falsko lived, then she would head back to the inn. She did tell Sky she would be back very late after all. Tes stood up soundlessly and swept off her cloak, if she was going to travel in the forest in this form she would have to do without it. It made far to much noise even if it was bitterly cold. The wind nipped at her expose stomach, shoulders and arms making her wonder if her mini adventure was a good idea. No its not, but you've already decided. Suck it up, you've been in far colder weather than this! she growled at herself, taking another step further. She would have to follow the pair closely in order not to loose them in the dark night.
(sooo, once Shad and Kavi leave the inn area we start a new thread correct?)

Yes I was speaking with Azura last night, well this morning and that is what she was telling me. It gets kind of hard for newer people like me to follow the thread and join in when all the characters are spread out but none are in the tavern as is the case here.
BTW: excellent work everyone this is my first RP and you guys are awesome and are making me enjoy this!!

Shad jerked slightly when Reg's whiskers tickled his palm and he glanced down at the rat, still not quite sure of what to make of him. His gaze quickly swung back to Kavlin as the boy shifted. "Don't worry," Shad said softly. "Unless there are several, I can defend us both - and Reg, and they'd have to be pretty stealthy to creep up on me unaware." He studied the younger boy for a moment. "I think we should head to the cave. Are you up for a pretty good travel?" He looked around him. "It's dark and you're not used to traveling in the woods. Plus, your hurt. Maybe we should just stay here for the night and travel tomorrow."
Shad was completely unsure of what to do. He'd never felt protective of anyone except himself and for some reason, he really wanted to protect Kavlin. Wanted to see the boy taken care of and off the streets. He shifted until he was even closer to the wall, almost invisible in his black cloak. Only his white eyes, devoid of any color, could be seen under his hood. He retreated into himself, trying to figure out the new emotion coursing through him.
(Azura, where do we go from here if we leave?)

"I don't know that staying here would be a good idea," Kavlin admitted, thinking of the men who had invaded his cellar. It didn't make much sense for them to come after him, they would only be opening themselves into a vulnerable position, but it wasn't good to discount the possibility completely. "There's more blood than wound. I can travel, and Reg will help me if I have trouble." He paused, regretting saying that. For all this man new, Reg was a normal rat, and normal rats did not help their owners travel in dark, unfamiliar woods.

Shad looked at him in confusion, but said nothing. He had his own secrets so he figured Kavlin could keep his. "Do you need to gather anything?" Shad asked, figuring that kavlin had a few treasures stashed around the town. "If you do, grab them and meet me back here." A sudden thought hit Shad. "Bull!" he muttered. "Kavlin, we can't go to the cave tonight. I got here to late to take care of the business that I needed to." Shad groaned, really not looking forward to spending the night in the woods. He raked a hand through his hair and let it drop to the ground, then pushed himself to his feet. "Who cares. Let's go home. I can always take care of it later. It's not everynight that I get a new roommate. Grab whatever you need and meet me back here in a half hour." Shad disappeared into the darkness.
Shad moved quicky into the woods to the spot where he had left the animal skins from his hunting. The pile was rather small, but would have caught a fair price in town. He slipped his bow across his shoulder and hurried back to the tavern.

Tes frowned and looked between Kavlin and the Falsko. Who too follow? she wondered as they split up, should she just stay put and wait for them to return? Shad seemed to make the decision for her by disappearing off into the woods before she even had the chance to think. Hmpf, I should probably go inside and tell Sky I might not be back at all tonight, if things go bad I might have to leave. she sighed, emerging from the woods. She loped into the tavern, in search of Sky who she found quickly. She smiled softly as she approached, glad once again that she had just hunted (she didn't look quite so intimidating when she wasn't sickly and dark looking). "It appears I might be out later than usual...would you mind reserving the room farthest from the front for me? Thank you so much..." she purred. She thanked Sky once again and left as quickly as she came. Tes only paused once mid stride, hardly enough to be noticed when she locked eyes with the information gatherer who was now chatting with a new comer. She narrowed her eyes and growled under her breath, she could tell just by looking at her that she would be trouble. She galloped out the door and back into the woods, stopping at the spot the Falsko disappeared into the woods. She gracefully climbing up the side of a large tree and rested on one of the lower branches. She choose this spot hoping he would pass under here again, she wanted to get closer to examine that strange blood smell that seemed to overwhelm her senses. She didn't have to wait long however, he seemed as well equipped for making his way around the forest as she was. She leaned forward inhaling deeply, taking apart each particle of his blood. It was much much stronger than she thought and she found herself scrambling to stay atop the tree branch. She cursed quietly under her breath hoping she didn't make too much noise, the smell still had her stunned. Tes pressed herself against the trunk blending with the darkness, a curious yet puzzled looked crossed across her face. What in the world was this? Was he doing it on purpose? she thought, mildly annoyed.

--I'll get it,-- Reg said, looking at him sternly after Shad left. --Sit here and wait.-- --Be careful.-- Kavlin watched the little rat disappear down the street. He wondered if it was a good idea, trusting Shad. But Reg said he seemed safe, and Kavlin himself felt fairly secure around Shad, for a stranger. Certainly he didn't seem to threaten them, and there was not much to gain from deceiving a street urchin and his rat. It wasn't long before Shad came back. Kavlin stood slowly, looking down the street where he could feel Reg romping closer. The rat appeared a moment later, necklace clutched in his mouth. Kavlin picked him up, slipping the necklace into his pocket and looking back to the Falsko. "We're ready when you are."

Cally laughed as Kijah came over to her table, she turned her attention to Marco. "FYI, I was going to sing Everlasting Battle." She said to him, naming an old ballad that she could sing quite well. "You've told met hat before Cally. I'd rather not take the chance. Now be a good girl and make a new friend." Marco told her before returning to cleaning the bar, preparing for the evening rush.
Cally turned her attention back to Kijah and offered her hand. "Nice to meet you Kijah. As Marco probably already told you I am Cally, I am an information and marriage destroyer. Apparently." She said with a grin. "It's rather boring here most days. Occasionally a Dargosl gets loose when the dwarves are in, that tends to be amusing. Other then that not much. I'm waiting for a decent job to turn up on the noticeboard so I can get out of here for a while. I'm going a little stir-crazy."

"Whats the matter Marco not like your brand of entertainment? I have to remember to check the noticeboard myself, at this point I can't be too picky I would have to take a job decent or not."
As Kijah was talking to Cally she noticed a strange woman walk through the tavern. That smell, that means...She's voskon, and feline if I am correct. Shyt this can't be good. Grandfather told stories of the feline packs. Blood thirsty he described them.
As she was lost in her thoughts she senses the woman staring her way. Oh hell she seems mad, this is so not good.
"So Cally is this the only place to stay in town? Maybe a cheaper place perhaps?" Kijah was trying to show her intrest in Cally but that feline had her unnerved to no end. she would have to watch that one.

Marco laughed, "If you heard Cally sing that song two nights ago you would be agreeing it's a good thing I don't let her sing tonight." Cally pouted. "I was having fun." "If that's your idea of having fun I'd rather you fight, I don't know if my ears will ever recover." Cally stared at Marco before laughing. "I suppose I did go a little overboard." She turned her attention back to Kijah. "Please ignore him, he knows nothing about good music." She thought about the question. "There is one, but it's got a really bad rep. Most women that go there come running back here within hours. I've been meaning to go down there to see if it's true, only problem is Marco won't let me. Every time I plan on it he gives me a job to do. I swear the man's psychic or something."
