SaRheia narrowed her eyes. "You make that sound as if it is a bad thing. I do, very much, as I live on reputation. I will not start my life in this city with the reputation of being a noble's 'kept blade'. I make a living on the coin of others, and no one trusts with their business or their money one whose allegiance belongs to anything but the job." She shook her head, sighing, wondering if she really ought to get involved at all. "I will speak with you, lady, and work for you if the price is right. But in the interest of my own future, I cannot make any connections beyond that."
(Bleh. I wish it could be longer, but I must be off to work in a snowstorm. >_<)

Kavlin didn't slow down until they were outside Marco's Inn again. He wiped blood from his nose and breathed in deep, jagged breaths. d**n it! They had lived in that cellar for over a year now, and it was the best place they'd found yet. --Are you okay?-- Reg asked. --Fine. Did you stash the necklace?-- --Yes. I know where it is. Sit down, Kavi, you're shaking.-- Reg leaned against his neck. Kavlin settled against a dirty wall opposite the inn, digging in his pocket and pulling out the napkin-wrapped food. Reg took it and began devouring it, quickly yet cleaner than any human could manage. Kavlin leaned his head back against the wall, wiping away more blood. Reg paused in his meal, looking levelly at him. --We'll find somewhere else. Don't worry.-- Kavlin nodded once, wearily, not sure if he really believed him.

Tes smiled, Sky's reaction was just what she had expected. "If I am not here when he is, delay him. His ego is quite large, talk to him, compliment him....you'll find if you do that he'll never want to go away. If he comes here, I will not be far away." she chuckled at her little inside joke, her brother thought of himself as quite the scholar and well...Voskon scholars? That in itself was funny. Her jaw tightened as an instant reaction of her long practiced restraint very suddenly, reminding her off her thirst. She rose gracefully and headed out the door, "And now I must leave, I don't want to cause you anymore trouble. I probably won't be back until late. Thank you very much." she sighed, slipping out the door. Being in a very warm room alone with a human who's blood scent was so strong was not a very good idea. Tes looked around the tavern once before heading out the door, her eyes narrowed at the assassin curiously. She was torn between the hoping that she would be gone when she came back, and the longing that she would stay so she could question her.
Tes walked out the door swiftly and threw back her hood, she inhaled deeply testing the air. She shook her head and growled, her senses where still filled with the scent inside and she couldn't get a clear view of how many humans where outside or whether the Folsko was gone. Tes stood trembling for a long moment....then stepped forward decided. She would take the risk and hunt now, she could not have herself become a menace to this town. She broke out into a fluid run and with a sudden snap she disappeared and in her place a large tawny mountain lion appeared. Tes had many reasons to be vain in her human form, but she wasn't really. This was the form she was so vain about, she loved it! Her golden fur glittered as if someone had sprinkled pixie dust on it, her eyes where the same but more intensified and her muscles rippled behind her fur. Her grace was the same, but in this form it just made more sense.
Tes looked around, letting out a little snarl then lept forward into the woods. She would need to do this quickly, she was still weakened from transforming earlier.

Shad's eyes widened slightly when Kavlin settled in across from him. He could tell that something wasn't right, but he wasn't sure what. He decided to watch for a few moments before approaching the boy. Why do you even care? he asked himself. Shad risked giving himself away and shrugged. He tried to convince himself that he didn't care, but couldn't. The orphan in him won out and he finally conceeded that he did care, for whatever reason, about the boy whom he'd never even spoken to. Shad started to get to his feet when Tes burst through the door of the tavern. He quickly stopped himself and watched in awe as she disappeared into the night. The woman was absolutely stunning. As soon as she disappeared, he propelled himself off the ground and his long legs swiftly carried him to Kavlin's side. "Anything I can do to help?" he asked softly, his eyes quickly taking in Kavlin's bloody nose and shaking hands. He sat back on his heels, content to wait for any response that Kavlin might have and hoping that he didn't scare the boy away.

Tes's soft paws padded quietly on the forest floor. She moved quickly through out the forest quietly, not even snapping a single twig. Her golden eyes shone like two tiny search lights in the darkness as they darted back and forth looking for any kind of prey. It had only been about 10 minutes but she was beginning to feel the effects of transforming too soon, she would have to find something soon to catch soon or else risk taking this form forever. To the west, only about 20 yards away she could hear the snapping of twigs under a creatures feet. Her whole body tensed and she stay motionless like a statue as she inhaled. What luck! she thought triumphantly to herself, she had recognized the scent to be a deer, a rather large doe actually. Now she wouldn't have to steal sheep from any of those farmers, which was comforting knowing she wouldn't be bothersome to anyone. Once she pin pointed the dos exact location, she let out a snarl and gave herself to her instincts. This was one of the few things she never needed to think about, her body just acted on its own. Tes propelled herself forward at a blinding speed, pushing off her powerful hind legs. The poor doe never had a chance to see what hit her, all it took was one swipe of her powerful claws and she was on the ground. Tes lept onto her body and ripped large portions of flesh away, savoring the blood that oozed from the wounds, dieing her coat red. She proceed to eat until her instincts retreated slightly, giving her room regain control. Tes backed off the carcass quickly sighing in relief, her lust for blood satisfied. She loped away as fast as her legs would carry her...it would not be safe to linger too long in these forests. Without breaking a stride she transformed back into her human form, the front of her clothing now drenched in blood. She looked down at it and frowned in disgust, she was happy she longer had to worry about her thirst but she was still disgusted with herself and slightly guilty. For the second time that night she wished she had been born into Kado's wolf tribe. They never had to worry about such things like thirst for blood, their kind was naturally passive and she wished she could have been too. Well, I can't exactly walk into town covered in blood can I? Hmm, guess I should go uncover my things and get a clean pair of clothes... she sighed, taking off into a run again. Before she got flush out by the farmers, she had stored away her traveling equipment and extra coin in a tree top closer to town. She found the tree with ease, it was one of the largest one filled with little holes and cubby's perfect for storing things. Quick as the cat she was she climbed the tree, stopping somewhere on the middle branches. She pushed away some leaves and dug a large leather bag from a knot hole in the middle of the tree trunk. She worked quickly, filling her pockets with gold, silver and bronze as well as two dwarfish necklaces she planned on selling in town the next day. They where family heirlooms, she had a ton of them stashed on different parts of the country. Edward had the good sense of raiding the family stores before the battle. She also pulled out a spare setting of clothing, a leather corset top her brother often scolded her about (it apparent showed to much of her midriff ) and a finely tailored pair of tight black pants. She obviously had a thing for leather ^^. Instead of climbing back down she just hopped off the branch, landing with a gentle thud. (Cats always land on their feet of course ) After checking herself over once more, she took off in the direction of the stream she passed earlier to clean herself up. She stripped off as much clothing as she dared and dove head first into the icy water. She sighed as she surfaced to the top and leaned back into the water, contenting herself to listen to the sounds of the forest around her. (eeps! long post, sorry guys!)

SaRheia stared longingly at the last bits of food on her plate. She hated leaving it there as she didn't know when her next meal would be. In one fluid motion she stood up as her hands swiped the cloth napkin and remaining bread off the table. She tucked what would likely be tomorrow's breakfast into the small pocket sewn into the inside of her cloak and fastened the garment around her, the small burden resting against the small of her back. She strode toward the door, rewrapping her left arm with one of her makeshift gloves, the majority of its length winding around her wrist and forearm to protect her flesh from the bowstring should she need to fire the weapon. She threw a shaded glance around the tavern when she reached the door, a dark look on her face as if a warning to anyone who might follow. Then she pushed the door open and stepped back out into the night air. The cold was shocking against her fire-warmed skin and clothes, whipping her hair around her face. Lingering outside no longer than necessary, she joined Alya in the carriage, situating herself so that nothing obstructed her access to her weapons.

Tes sighed and forced herself to get out of the calming stream. Despite the bitter cold, the water was soothing for her. She whipped her head back and forth, water sprayed off her hair flying in every direction. Tes pulled herself out onto the bank and sighed contently, as much as she hated it hunting really did make her feel to much better. Her thoughts where so much clearer now and her expression gentled. There was a down side however to the clearing of her head...she began to realize all the mistakes she had made during the day. Dammit! You weren't careful at all today...I wouldn't be surprised if that human, Kavlin, knows what you are! 'Looks like your Norsla blood saved you today' what the heck where you thinking, saying that? And the Falsko too, I bet he defiantly knows what you are. You know because you roared in front of him, thats not normal for a young lady...Damn... Still...as aggravated as she was at herself, she couldn't bring herself to panic. The calming effect from the hunt still hadn't worn off, which was a nice change for her optimistic side which often got squished by her usual pessimistic attitude. Tes held out her wrist and a smiled played across her perfect lips. Only a hour ago it was thin, sickly and pale. But now it was fleshed out, still pale of course (her skin was naturally fair), but it glowed. She couldn't see much of the rest of herself but she assumed her figure was filled out as well, and the dark circles under her eyes that had given her that intimidating, dangerous look where gone. Hmmm, I really do want to go into town tomorrow. But that is a big risk, who knows whether Kavlin or that Falsko has ratted you out. I wouldn't put it past Kavlin, I'm sure they'd offer him sort of reward. Despite those thoughts she couldn't bring herself to imagine that happening, she didn't give away too much information...not enough for him to be dead sure anyway. Ahh, what the heck? Its couldn't hurt to try, after all if things get really bad I'm fairly sure I can escape. she decided reaching out for her cloak. She dried herself off as best she could and slipped back into her pants. The corset top took a bit longer, those darn straps kept getting tangled. After that she pulled on her high heel leather boots, sliding a dagger into the right one just in case. Tes pulled on her damp cloak and wrapped it tightly around her shoulder. The wind nipped at her exposed flesh making her shiver a little. For once she was actually glad she reserved a room inside, and opted out of staying in a tree tonight. Tes trotted along the forest until she reached a path way where she broke into a run, heading back to Marco's inn. Just as she was about to emerged from the forest a familiar scent drifted up to her nose. She paused and moved instinctively into a half crouch position, she moved forward slowly listening carefully. Kavlin...Falsko...together? They...wouldn't be discussing me would they? she wonder with a frown, listening carefully to their conversation. Now that her thirst was no longer a distraction it was much easier to focus, and her senses where much much clearer. Tes settled down into the darkness and waited to see when it would be safe for her to emerge.

Kavlin tensed as a man--no, a Falsko!--loped seemingly from nowhere, straight towards him. He almost took off away from the situation, but he was too sore and tired. And now... an offering of help? Reg hopped down from his shoulder and onto his lap, puffing up but making no threatening moves. "I have no money to give for help," he said warily. "I don't even have a home anymore." He wiped again at the blood on his face; the flow had slowed significantly but he could feel his face was still a mess. "You can gain nothing from helping me."

"I am Donovan SaRheia," she replied, not without a hint of pride. May be the last Donovan, but a Donovan all the same, she thought. "Most call me Rheia," she added before listening to Alya's story. Five years is a long d**n time, Rheia thought when the tale was done. She sighed. Her mouth had almost watered at the thought of 10 silver falling into her hand from the hands of a sister whose mind she had put at ease. But her skill lie in the realm of the physical. Theft, death, threats, the kinds of jobs she was used to, were concrete. Solving a five-year-old mystery was not. She wasn't accustomed to following cold trails, more like warm, bleeding ones. "Do you even have any suspicions or inklings of where to begin?" she asked, biting her lip. "This is a grand undertaking, much like finding a stiletto in a smithy." (Just in case, for everyone's reference, since it's not a common word-- a stiletto. Not a shoe. That would be a weird phrase. Lol.)

"My dear girl I have had these blades for sale for several years and no one has purchased them, so I can assure you, the chance of someone buying them now is very slim." He paused, pondering a thought. "Tell me Hester, how are you at cleaning weapons? As I bought these for 20 Silver a piece I can sell them for no less then 12 or I will be loosing far too much, but I do believe we can work something out." He said, flashing her a smile.
(Sorry it's so short. I couldn't think of much else to type.)

"I never intended to gain anything," Shad said softly, eyeing the rat nervously. "Except maybe a friend...or two. Call your rat off. I'm not going to hurt you." Shad shook his head. "You remind me a lot of myself at your age." He stared off into the night, his hunting senses telling him someone was approaching from the woods. He smiled slightly, half hoping it was the strange girl from the tavern. He definately wouldn't mind seeing more of her, especially now that he was sure she was another society castaway.
"Look, I know I'm not in a position to offer you much, but I can offer you a place to stay and enough food to keep you from starving. My home's not always warm and the foods not always good, but they keep me dry and fed. I'll be over there," Shad waved to the tavern, "if you decide to take me up on it. If not..." Shad shrugged and moved back to his resting spot against the tavern wall, quickly blending in again and settling down, content once again to listen, but silently hoping Kavlin would take his offer.

Kijah left her cave and decided it was time she went into town, to look for work perhaps, maybe an actual room, the nights were colder here than in her bed back home.
Home. Kijah looked up at the sky. Mother please forgive me, I just couldn't take much more of her. Grandfather please watch over mother and keep her safe from Kito and Asha's wrath. Don't let them punish her for my outburst with their daughter Mitra.
Silently cursing herself for leaving her mother in such a situation she moved on to town. Inside town she notices a tavern it seems the hub of activity.
Kijah pulls her cloak tighter and trys to slide in unnoticed and picks an empty table near the fire. She raised her hands to the fire to warm there while avoiding eye contact with the other patrons as much as possible.
Atleast i can sit here and get warm as long as they don't throw me out for having no money.
