Rat Voskons, being versatile in their feeding and living habits, can live almost anywhere. They often form colonies near other groups of Voskons, nomadic or stationary, feeding off the leftovers left behind. If they reside near a nomadic group of Voskons, they often lose track of one group due to their slower travel and live off the wild until they come across a new group. Rat colonies are generally small in the wild, about 5-10 individuals. In cities, rat Voskons will usually join colonies of wild rats, often containing a large number of individuals. Sometimes a rat Voskon will be content with only one or two companions, but they are very social creatures so this is more rare.
Voskon rats are smaller and slimmer than their wild counterparts. They also come in a wide variety of colors, whereas wild rats are generally only wild colored. Most Voskons, however, are still wild colored (agouti) due to the increased attention given differently-colored rats and the increased chance that they will be killed. In cities, many rat Voskons find a messy end at the hands of annoyed humans and hungry cats. If not killed, their lifespan is generally around 60 years, though in some cases they can live to be around 80 years old.
Though they seem defenseless due to their small size, rat Voskons can take care of themselves. They are surpassingly quick and agile, able to sense and dodge almost any attack. They are small enough to hide in places larger creatures can't, position themselves into a strategic spot, then leap out for a quick attack. They are extremely cunning and intelligent. Though they rarely kill others unless they work as a very large team, even a single rat Voskon can chase away even a large, strong predator with its quick, merciless attacks.
