Ingwe chuckled at Cally but merely put his hand on her shoulder and pointed ahead.
"Shhhh, just watch now."
No sooner had he spoken than a fawn bound out from the trees followed by its frantic mother who jumped infront almost as if chastising the young creature.
"If it hadn't been such a long ride I would have taken you to the elven forest where the animals are more at ease with us and would have come out freely. There is just something in the air here. They sense something and are on edge."

Cally grinned madly and leaped down, landing softly. She froze when the Doe turned to stare at her, refusing to breathe. Ever so slowly she lowered herself to the ground and sat by the unicorns legs, trusting him not to trample her. She suppressed a giggle as one of the fawns took a step towards her, then another before being told off by it's mother. "It's alright silly. I'm not going to hurt him." She said, her voice barely a whisper. The Doe watched Cally cautiously, still not letting the fawn any closer to Cally.

The day had set and rose once more since the battle with the fearsome bird creature. The few scratches Caída had acquired from the battle had healed by the time the sun rose again; they had not been deep or poisoned in any way. She had moved through the forest, not really wanting to return to the cave of the red-haired man called Shad. She didn’t know why but the thought of going back there made her skin crawl a little so she had turned her back to them after the battle and returned to the depths of the forest. She had just wandered all night, not really in the mood of neither hunting nor resting. Yet as morning moved forward the need to hunt and feed was starting to overwhelm the weird state she was in. She changed again into the lean hunter with the spotted hide and left behind her the empty mind of the woman. The woman was not needed in this moment; the beast knew instinctively what to do every step of the way.
Each forest, field or savannah has a place where calm is the key emotion, a peaceful place that is the essence of nature. Some places even have more then one such spot. Some days back Caída had hunted and killed a fawn in one such place and something in the beasts mind told her that another one was close by. She let the wind and the surrounding tell her what might dwell there. Yes. Indeed this was also a place where the does brought their fawns to rest, they thought no predator would enter the glades serenity, their instincts told of the natural essence of peace in the place and they felt safe. A smirk crossed her cat like features; the prey would be easy to lay down sine they wouldn’t expect her at all to be there. She closed in and was hit by the scent of what was ahead of her in the glade. Does and fawns, indeed, she couldn’t say how many but more then one at least. She filtered the scent and realised that the deers wasn’t alone. Humans or at least close to humans was ahead and a creature that smelled awkward. It was pure like the newly fallen snow, yet it held a tang of horse and a tang of something else. She couldn’t quite pinpoint it, but she was sure that she had never encountered such a creature before.
She shrugged as hunger pressed upon her body and mind again. She couldn’t let humans interrupt her hunt. She needed energy or she would have trouble changing soon. Her body moved forward in the stalk of the big cats, ears perked forward, and listening to every sound. As she moved underneath a thorn bush she could see the does and the fawns. She couldn’t see the humans and the strange creature, but she could pinpoint them form their breathing and their scent. Her golden green eyes moved swiftly over the gathered deers, picking out her prey by instinct. Her eyes fixed upon a spring buck that seemed healthy but still young enough to be an easy prey for her. She gathered her powerful hind below her and took of in a blur of pale yellow-black motion. The hunt was over as fast as it had begun. The young buck kicked a last time as it lay with broken neck before Caídas frame. The other animals was scattering in every direction, their instinct being slow in the place.
Her leopard eyes shifted from the prey towards the humans and her eyes met theirs. One human, but the other wasn’t quite human. Elf? His scent was somehow older then a humans not older as in him being older, just older. She looked at them over the carcass of the buckling and anticipated their reaction as a few ruby red drops of blood fell from her mouth onto the emerald green grass beneath her.

Arcamenel sensed something coming but what he couldn't exactly figure out. It carried the smell of a predator. He stomped his hind legs in alarm.
Ingwe something's coming, protect the human!
Ingwe barely had time to slide off his back before Arcamenel took two steps back and jumped over Cally's head and landed infront of her pawing the ground and snorting. No sooner had he landed than the big cat jumped out infront of them taking down the buckling. He stomped the ground with his front hooves lowering his horn and shaking it back and forth in warning.
Ingwe made his way infront of Cally the second Arcamenel cleared her head, his bow already had an arrow fitted and at the ready. To say he was shocked to see the big cat was an understatement but his arrow never moved from its target. "Cally back away, slowly, stay behind me. I don't know what that thing is nor what it is doing here, but it definatly doesn't belong in these parts."

The instant Arcamenel flew over her head she froze. Never before had Cally been so unprepared for anything. As the shock wore off her body began to register what had happened. Arcamenel leaped over her head, then this feline attacked a fawn. Cally stood up, her tear filled eyes locked onto the large cat who emerged before them. "Of all the days I had to leave my knives behind." She muttered angrily, remembering Kotir's warnings to always keep them with her. "I'm not going anywhere Ingwe." She told the elf, crouching low in case the beast decided to turn on them. Although she couldn't see it happening, she had known stranger things to happen. "Besides, I don't know this area. You sending me away could warrant my death."

Her golden-green eyes shimmered with a mix of mirth as well as hunger. Her head lowered to the body of the fawn and she tore open the body of the now deceased creature. The taste of meat and blood filled her mouth and she quickly chewed down a few large pieces of meat before she turned away all her attention from the feeding. She had needed the flesh so she had ignored the human creatures and their weird mount. She had needed the feeding bad; otherwise the change would have been hard on her. She looked at the one aiming his arrow at her, fixing him with her gaze. Whit a sigh she let down the barrier that kept the change away. A power, close to magic yet so much more natural to her flowed through her as she was once more engulfed in the feelings of the change. Within the blink of an eye she stood as a human fixing her gaze still into the eyes of the male, a smirk playing over her slightly bloody lips. “Would you be so kind and pot that away. I wouldn’t want you to hurt anyone.” Her hair framed her face and hung close to her waist, shielding – but nor completely hiding all her naked glory.

Cally's guard fell the instant Caída began to change. What in the world? She thought to herself. When her change was complete Cally shook her head as she remembered a conversation she had with Kotir's sister not to long ago. "Always be careful around gorgeous women Cally. They are always the most dangerous." Alatariel had said. "I take it you know from experience?" Alatariel turned and smiled at her, "Of course." Shaking herself from the memory Cally turned her attention to Caída. "Who and what are you?" she said finally.

Gracefully, no almost fluidly, Caída shifted her weight and turned her fixating gaze towards the girl. Her still golden-green leopard eyes stared upon the shorter girl juts a few yards ahead of her. With a tick smooth voice she answered her. “I am Caída. And I am what I was born to be, what I was meant to be.” She looked the girl over, before she even thought of continuing. She raised a graceful and towards the girl with her palm raised towards the sky as her arm was stretched out level to the ground. “And since I have introduced myself, now it is your turn.” Her gaze then travelled back to the male and the great white beast. Unicorn. She knew now that it was a creature from the sagas and she wasn’t surprised. “Be at ease, great white one” she directed her voice towards the magnificent beast. “You would make a grand prey to hunt one day, but today is not the day. I have laid down my prey and wish you now harm. Ease down.” Her words were then directed to the elf holding the bow. She focused on his face but could read little from it this very moment, but he smelled badly of annoyance and fast moving emotions. “I think it is time for you as well, elf, to share courtesy with us since that is the habit of men it seems.” She eased down her arm that had still been reached out towards the girl, and looked at the trio before her.

Ingwe glanced back at Cally and sighed, "Its sad that you have been in such company that you would expect me to send you off on your own, I was going with you to see you to safety, Arcamenel would have seen to it that we weren't followed."
Arcamenel stomped his hoof and snorted again at the woman, I wouldn't be prey for you on your best day feline.
Ingwe looked at Arcemenel, Easy friend lets wait and see what all she is about "I am Ingwë Séregon, you already know what I am, but we still have no clue about you. You carry the scents of many lands and its clear you are not from these parts. What brings one of your kind here?"

"Cally Sovrein." She told Caída "And you didn't answer my question properly. Most everyone is what they are supposed to be, those who aren't are stupid." She turned to Ingwe with a smile, "I'm sorry, but I am so used to being sent away for my protection it's force of habit. Those who send me away know I can look after myself if there are small problems." She told him.
Jackpot Alatariel thought as she watched from her vantage point in a tree. Safely downwind she was enjoying this little performance.

Words rang out through the glade, and Caída listened enveloped in her own peace. She could read body language better then humans, and she had scent on her side as well. So the spoken words were not all that she was paying attention to. The fine shade transferred well for her and even though the unicorn did not speak she could still se that it had a mind of its own and that it indeed had an attitude. He was cocky and his pounding on the moss covered ground showed that he was in protests of her own previous statement to the animal. She smiled and continued to observe and listen. The Elf seemed curious but on guard as he asked his questions, not surprisingly. Men were easy to handle so she did not reply to him immediately instead the female voice made her turn towards the girl. The girl smelled of annoyance, but Caída knew it was probably more then just her own vague statement of what she was that annoyed her.
Inside she sigh, humans had always trouble grasping that she didn’t try to hide anything from them. She simply felt that there really was nothing more to share. They had seen her shift, wasn’t that enough explanation of what she was? Of course not, you always needed to spell it out to humans. She raised her face and looked up into the sky between the heavy clothed tree branches and let out a long calm breath before she once more turned to the trio before her. She stood still as a cat ready to pounce as she spoke, eerily and quit inhuman. She looked straight at the girl as her golden green eyes bled to golden and then back to green.
“Girl, what do you thing I am?” She left the question hanging in the air as a heavy perfume on the wind.

"I don't know what you are, aside from a shifter." Cally replied, struggling to keep her voice even. I do'nt know how Ala like being around peoople so frustrating Cally thought to herself, walking over to a fallen tree. And why is it that women are always worse then the men.. Sitting on the log she closed her eyes, wishing she could meditate here, but without knowing if Caída was friend or foe she wouldn't risk it, especially without her daggers.
Alatariel smiled. Silly girl, you should know she is a Voskon. I told you about them myself. she thought.

Ingwe watched Cally but still never took his full attention off of the woman. He could tell she was uneasy when he realized she had spoken of not having her daggers. He reached behind him and removed both dagger and sheath and moved to hand it to Cally. "I know it may not be as good as any blade you may have but it was my fathers and is yours to use as long as you need." He turned his gaze back to the voskon again keeping himself between her and Cally, "You're pretty good at asking questions voskon yet you fail to answer ours. I know your kind roams lands many days journey from these parts so again I ask, what brings you to these lands?"

The girl seemed not pleased with her answer. Why did humans have to complicate stuff? The girl was spot on yet she didn’t gather it. What she had seen what was Caída was and what more did she really need to know. Caída was growing wary with the silly girl. She knew she could stand her explaining all day and the girl would still not understand completely. Reluctantly she saw how the elf slipped a weapon to the girl, not that it really worried her. She looked at the two; he eyes a lush green colour once more with only a hint of gold. “I do not mean to call any of you stupid. But frankly I have learned that humans most of the time can’t comprehend what they see, not even when they are so close to the truth.” She sighed and stretched her arms out in an almost dramatic gesture. “What you see is what you get, honey. Sure there are words for my kinds. But those words are more of human origin, so what do they matter to me?” Her eyes bled back to gold once more with only a slight hint of green this time, the transition was fast yet could be spotted with a keen eye. “I have answered you questions; it is you that fail to see the answer.” She smiled as she lowered her arms parallel to her body once more. “I am growing tired of this game, so I hope you have understood what I have told you now. Because I do not plan to share the history of my life with you, though I might be inclined to give you a share of my kill..” A slender hand swept in the direction of the dead buckling. “…If it so pleases you.”

Cally rolled her eyes. "I have encountered shifters before, but their shifts are no where near as perfect as yours. Which is why I wanted to know what you were." She retorted and examined the dagger Ingwe handed her. It was a beatiful item, an ivory hilt detailed with symbols she didn't understand, she assumed they were protective charms of sorts. "Thank you Ingwe, but I am pretty much useless with a single dagger, my skills lie with two." She said, returning the blade to him.
Alatariel swore under her breath. "Foolish child, you should always accept and elven weapon, especially when without a weapon yourself."
Cally returned her attention to Caída. "I thank you also, but the idea of eating an animal I was only just watching doesn't appeal to me."
