Orderic’s General Goods
Orderic’s General Goods is a store located in the central parts of The Trade District. The store deals in most things useful to people and sells both new goods and used goods. The store is run by a pockmarked and ruddy little man heeding to the name of Orderic Marcheur.
The people of the shop
Orderic is as a short man, that walks the border of being obese. He is heavily pockmarked and his face is quite ruddy from late night drinking and just generally moving his body around. Its hard to say what colour his hair is, it looks a dirty greyish but it could be either brown or blond mixed in with the grey. His eyes are indistinguishable and plain brown. Orderic is not married and if anyone asks him he will promptly respond “would never marry a wench, they are enough trouble when you pay for the night”. But he does have a boy living in the store. The boy is a pale thing with blond, almost white hair and very pale blue eyes. He’s skinny and the clothes hang of his body. He doesn’t talk so no one really knows what his name is. Orderic calls the boy Odo, and tells people he’s an orphan boy that Orderic has so kindly given a shelter and a home for. Though rumours says that the boy really is part of his contract with some Lower City scum, and that would indeed explain the prices off some of the second hand goods that Orderic sells in his shop.
What the shop offers
Orderic’s General Goods sell almost anything they can get their hands on for a decent price and takes a nice cut in the process. Here are some examples of things that Orderic might offer for sale:
New Tunic – around 30 bronze
Used Tunic – around 20 bronze, depending on the quality
Fancy New Tunic – 50 bronze to 1 silver, depending on how fancy it is
Fancy Used Tunic – 35 to 75 bronze, depending on quality and level of fanciness
New short sword – around 10 silver
Used short sword – around 7 silver, depending on the quality
Well crafted new sword – 3 to 5 gold, depending on how well crafted
Well crafted used sword – 1 to 4 gold, depending on how used and how well crafted
