The Hawk and Feather
The Hawk and feather is an inn located in the Travellers Quarter, just a block from the town square. It is of medium to high standard and prices and is run as well as owned by the Inkeeper Jorn Grunenwald.
The people of the Inn
Jorn Grunenwald is a quite brawly man in his late 30’s. He often comes across as fat at first appearance, but after a second look it is easy to tell that is actually just build broad in every way. Jorn has dark blond hair that has grown l9ong enough for him to tie it back with a leather tong and they go well with his pale blue eyes. Jorn is married to Ethelind, a fragile woman in her early 30’s. She’s been through a lot and is seldom seen outside of their private quarter though it is said that she is very sick. It is said that she had a reddish auburn hair a few years back but that it has already been streaked with grey and white due to her illness, here eyes is a dark hazel. They have had three children together, but only the eldest son survived his infancy. The son is named Lanfried and is well known to be a good working 12 year old boy with a promise to grow into a handsome young man. Lanfried has his mothers hair and his fathers eyes and are often seen helping out around the Inn.
The Hawk and Feather employs one cook, two barmaids and a housekeeper.
The cook is a stout, but rather short woman, Abighild Allenstag, she is a 54 year old widow without any children and always wear her hair in a tight iron grey bun. Abighild treats all people younger then herself like a lost child and often scolds them for not eating properly.
The two barmaids are a pair of sisters Isabel and Eleanor Dagneau, they are both around 25 years old and looks quite like each other with shoulder length heavy curled ashen blond hair. The biggest difference is that Isabel has very blue eyes while Eleanor has grey eyes. Both girls are very flirty but works efficient since Jorn doesn’t like his employees to just hang around.
The housekeeper is an old friend of Ethelind, Jorns wife, which had a bad run in with an abusing husband. Jorn made the chocice to protect her and offered her a job and a home at his inn. Nadine Zomer is a small framed woman with dark hair and dark eyes that seldom meet other peoples gaze, she is shy of men and usually keeps out of the common room. She has a daughter named Lise, a 10 year old girl that looks at the world with a gloom expression. The girl shows promise of growing up to be just as dark and lithe as her mother is.
